May is a packed month for us. We have birthdays and holidays every weekend, and even into June. Sunshine, flowers, and birds chirping at 5 am. I love this time of year - before the humidity comes, before the bugs come out... when the days are pleasant and warm, but not yet hot. More snow. More inside days. Hot chocolate, cookies, warm dinners. Mom's hand knit wool mittens. We ventured outside one afternoon, with some pure maple syrup, and sat down in the fresh snow for a little snack. As I type this, we're closing out the last day of the first month of the new year.
