More snow.
More inside days.
Hot chocolate, cookies, warm dinners.
Mom's hand knit wool mittens.

We ventured outside one afternoon, with some pure maple syrup, and sat down in the fresh snow for a little snack.
When you drizzle the syrup into the snow, and mix it around a bit, it makes a maple-syrup-slushy, that is oh-so-good.

Today, we're at the end of the month. It's the last day of February, and we've warmed up to 44 degrees, which is a vast difference from the below-zero temperatures we had just a few weeks ago.
The thaw is happening quickly now; the light is getting stronger; the solar gain is increasing.
Before we know it, flowers will be popping through the soil, shrubs will be budding out, and the trees will start unfurling their leaves.
Spring is coming.
